Mullica Republicans back Richter

By Nikita Biryukov, December 02 2019 1:09 pm

Republicans in Mullica endorsed David Richter’s congressional candidacy Monday.

“As someone who comes from a business background, David understands what it takes to be successful in business, and meet a payroll,” Mayor Chris Silva said. “David’s exemplary career in business makes him a worthy candidate for our support in his race for the Second District.”

Silva, Deputy Mayor Larry Riffle, Councilman Bruce Crowe and Councilwoman Kristi Hanselmann, the local Republican club president, backed Richter over Brian Fitzherbert and Robert Patterson.

The three Republicans are running for the chance to oust Rep. Jeff Van Drew next year.

“I’m impressed by David’s energy. He has a plan, and a solid grasp on the issues affecting not only places like Mullica Township but all across the district,” Hanselmann said. “When he’s our Congressman, David will be able to deliver for us at the federal level to make our communities better at the local level.”
