Rep.-elect tom Malinowski has some committees he’d like to end up on, but he isn’t ready to share those quite yet.
“I am aiming to ensure that our delegation collectively is well represented on the committees that are important to New Jersey — Transportation, Appropriations, Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means,” Malinowski told the New Jersey Globe. “Where I end up remains to be seen. We’ll figure that out in the next three weeks or so.”
The former assistant secretary of state told Foreign Policy last week that he intends to be involved in foreign-policy regardless of whether he gets a spot on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Rep. Leonard Lance, whom Malinowski will replace come January, served on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and on the House Ethics Committee.
