Malinowski files 2020 campaign committee

First step for NJ freshman congressman to seek re-election

Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-Rocky Hill), who took office as new member of the U.S. House of Representatives on January 3, became the first of four House freshmen to file paperwork today to seek re-election to a second term in 2020.

It’s no surprise that Malinowski is looking to run again after ousting five-term Rep. Leonard Lance (R-Clinton) in the November 2018 mid-term election, or that he is starting this early to replenish his campaign coffers.

The early front-runner for the Republican nomination to oppose Malinowski is Senate Minority Leader Thomas Kean, Jr. (R-Westfield).

Malinowski has designated Alumni 44 Committee, House Victory Project, Security 44, Digidems Committee, Bay State for a Majority, New Jersey House Victory Fund, Jersey House Blues, Nadler Victory Fund, North Jersey Blue Majority, 44 Fund, and 2018 Majority Makers Fund as affiliated committees and joint fundraising representatives.
