Five-term Republican Rep. Leonard Lance has just slightly more cash-on-hand than his main Democratic challenger in fundraising, according to a report filed with the Federal Election Commission,

Lance raised $315,735 in the first quarter of 2018, and has $849,998 cash-on-hand.  Democrat Tom Malinowski raised more money over the last three months — $479,211 – and has $739,944 cash-on-hand.  Lance has raised a total of 1,109,529; Malinowski, a first-time candidate who served as Assistant U.S. Secretary of State in the Obama administration, has raised $1,007,682.

Some GOP legislators have contributed to Lance, like State Sens. Michael Doherty and Kip Bateman, Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz, and Assemblyman Anthony Bucco.

Republican National Committeeman Bill Palatucci sent him $1,000, and former Republican State Chairman Michael Lavery has kicked in $500.  He received $3,525 from former State Sen. Bill Schluter and $200 from former Assemblywoman Maureen Ogden.  Lance also received contributions from two former officials of the Whitman administration: chief of staff Michael Torpey and Secretary of State Carol Cronheim each contributed $500.

Lance is carrying a campaign debt of $55,237.
