Editor’s Note: Kim’s lead is up to 3,427 after Ocean County updated its vote tally.

With late-arriving vote-by-mail ballots tallied in Burlington County, Andy Kim’s lead over Rep. Tom MacArthur has stretched to 3,424 votes, though that number is expected to drop somewhat when Ocean County releases it’s final unofficial tally of votes in the third congressional district later on Friday.

The number likely won’t change by much, as there were relatively few new countable mail-in ballots in Ocean by the end of day on Thursday. With one shipment of ballots left in the day, there were 46 new countable ballots in the district’s portion of Ocean.

On Wednesday, the county board of elections received 245 countable ballots countywide. It’s not clear how many of those were in the third district.
