Kim files for re-election

Rep. Andy Kim filed for re-election with more than 400 signatures Monday.

The first-term Democrat is the only member of his party to file in the district.

He faces at least four Republican challengers.

Former Hill International CEO David Richter and former Burlington County Freeholder Director Kate Gibbs each filed with more than 400 signatures.

Gibbs is running under Burlington GOP line her home county, while Richter has organizational support in Ocean County.

Barnegat Mayor John Novak filed to run with 249 signatures. He’s running under the “America first make America great again” slogan.

Brick Republican David Schmidt filed with 223 signatures and is mounting his bid under the “keeping Americans first” slogan.

Due to delays caused by COVID-19, petition information may be incomplete at this time.

The deadline to file was 4:00 p.m. Monday.
