Human Fundraising Machine raises $800,44 in 3rd quarter of 2019

Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff), the top fundraiser among the New Jersey congressional delegation, once again had a massive quarter, raising $800,494.

Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali currently leads the pack by a wide margin in the Republican primary for the nod in the 5th District.

Gottheimer, the Human Fundraising Machine, raising an impressive $800,494 during the third quarter, which is a decrease from his second quarter total of $908,082.

Gottheimer currently has a war chest of $6,397,770 to defend himself from primary challenger Arati Kreibich, and the eventual winner of the Republican Primary.

Kreibich, raised $106,832, and has a total of $89,668 in her bid to unseat Gottheimer, who has drawn fire from progressives in the 5th district. Gottheimer outraised Kreibich by an over 7/1 margin and has a $6.3 Million cash on hand advantage over her going into the final quarter of 2019.

The Republican Primary in the 5th is a three-way race between Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali, investment banker Frank Pallotta, and former Cresskill Councilman and 2018 GOP candidate, John McCann.

Ghassali had the largest fundraising haul out of the three Republicans, raising $301,246, since he launched his campaign in July, of which $100,000 was a loan from Ghassali. The Mayor currently has $278,319 in the bank to win his party’s nomination.

Pallotta came in second place, having raised $97,238, although $50,000 was a loan from himself. He has $168,695 to fight Ghassali and McCann.

McCann, meanwhile, came in a very distant last place in fundraising, raising $11,470, for his second campaign to unseat Gottheimer during the third quarter, and reported having $6,437 cash on hand.
