Republican Rosie Pino has raised $415,869 in her bid to unseat Rep. Nellie Pou (D-North Haledon) in New Jersey’s 9th district, and has $39,623 left in her campaign account.
Pino has reported a campaign debt of $157,218 after a close GOP primary against attorney Tiffany Glenn Buress, the wife of former NFL player Plaxico Burress. Pino won by 345 votes.
Pou has raised roughly $2.6 million this cycle and has nearly $1.8 million cash-on-hand.
Among Pino’s donors is Kevin Codey, the son of former Democratic Gov. Richard Codey. He has donated $4,500 to the Republican nominee this cycle. His late father served with Pou in the State Senate.
New Jersey’s 9th district unexpectedly backed Donald Trump in 2024, transforming what had long been considered a safely Democratic seat into a Republican target. But the plurality-Hispanic district appears to have reverted to form since then, giving Mikie Sherrill a nearly 20-point victory in last year’s governor’s race.
