The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has decided to spend $100,000 on a coordinated TV ad with Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes) in New Jersey’s 7th district.
The New Jersey Globe reported earlier today that the DCCC appears to have bailed on Malinowski. But later, they reserved a small ad buy that comes in just short of the $109,000 maximum they are allowed to spend in coordination with the candidate.
The House Majority PAC, which is allied with congressional Democratic leaders, has not reserved any additional time for TV ads on behalf of Malinowski beyond the $183,000 for this week, $160,000 for next week, and $22,000 on Election Day.
But they could potentially increase their support for Malinowski, who is locked in a competitive race with Republican Tom Kean, Jr., the former minority leader of the New Jersey State Senate.
Today, the House Majority PAC put in an order for about $2 million of TV spots in the New York market, with NJ-5, where Rep. Josh Gottheimer is listed on reservation documents as one of the intended recipients.
