Andy Kim’s first TV ad focuses on family affordability

Rep. Andy Kim (D-Moorestown) has launched his first TV ad for his 2022 re-election bid in New Jersey’s 3rd district in a gentle, positive ad that includes a pledge to fight for lower prescription drug costs and against corporate price gauging.

In “Real Life,” Kim speaks directly to the camera from a restaurant while with his family.  While the congressman is discussing “paying your bills” and keeping “your family healthy,” his two young sons are coloring at the table with their assistance of their mother.

The ad will air on network and cable TV.  A campaign spokesman said they will put six-figures behind the buy.

Script: “Partisan politics have lost touch with real life—paying the bills, keeping your family healthy, no coloring on the table, Austin.  Real life is why I serve. I fight for you.  To make your life easier.  It’s why I’m taking on corruption, to lower prescription drug costs, and fight corporate price gouging.  I’m Andy Kim. I approve this message because I fight for your family as hard as I do for mine.”

Kim faces Republican Bob Healey in his bid to win a third term in Congress.
