American Action Network launches ads against Kim, Malinowski

A conservative dark money group is starting to spend money in two New Jersey congressional districts where they hope to unseat Reps Andy Kim (D-Moorestown) and Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes) in 2022.

The American Action Network has purchased a billboard on I-295 in Burlington County alleging that schools in New Jersey’s 3rd district remain closed because Democrats are putting the teachers union ahead of kids.  The message asks parents to contact Kim and ask him to vote for the Reopen Schools Act.

The group will also launch digital ads in the 3rd district and in 7th, asking voters to sign an online petition to get Kim and Malinowski to vote for the legislation.

“Students are falling behind because liberals like Andy Kim and Tom Malinowski don’t have the courage to stand up to the teachers unions and do what’s best for our children,” said Calvin Moore, the American Action Network communications director. “Even though the science says it’s safe for students to return to the classroom, both Kim and Malinowski voted twice to block even considering a bill to help them do it. The time for delay is up and it’s time to support reopening schools now.”

The American Action Network is run by former Republican National Committee Deputy Chairman Fred Malek and Norm Coleman, a former U.S. Senator from Minnesota.
