A political consulting firm headed by Donald Trump’s campaign manager has formed a New Jersey-based company.
“We know what it takes to win tough races in New Jersey,” said Bill Stepien, who managed Gov. Chris Christie’s two gubernatorial campaigns – the only statewide GOP victories in the last three decades.
Stepien and his partner at National Public Affairs, Justin Clark, announced that Tom Bonfonti, a veteran Republican operative from Ocean County, will be the managing director of the new company, NJPA.
“The team at NPA has managed the largest campaigns in political history and also knows how to win races here in New Jersey,” said Tom Bonfonti, the former Ocean County GOP executive director and campaign manager for David Richter’s 2020 congressional race. “Combining the firm’s national experience with our proven track record of victories in New Jersey will lead to wins in November for NJPA’s clients running for state, county and local offices.”
Stepien is a New Jersey native who worked on Republican statewide and legislative races in the 1990s and early 2000s before joining presidential campaigns for George W. Bush, Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain.
“NPA was on the frontlines of building the largest political, grassroots and communications movement in American history and no other firm in the country can offer that expertise to members of its client family,” Stepien said.
