Rockleigh Mayor James Pontone has scored a win in the Republican primary, beating newcomer Robert Ferretti in one of New Jersey’s smallest municipalities.

Pontone defeated Feretti, 79-20 votes.

Pontone was elected mayor in 2022 after serving as a councilman for eighteen years.

Democrats have not filed a candidate for mayor of Rockleigh.

Rockleigh is a solid Republican town;  Donald Trump carried it by 18 points in 2024.
