Gov. Phil Murphy will headline a fundraiser for American Representatives Majority, a super PAC tied to Democratic powerbroker George E. Norcross III, at an event in May honoring Norcross and others.
The event is Murphy’s first public appearance with Norcross since a Superior Court judge dismissed a racketeering indictment last month. But Murphy has not shied away from Norcross even while he was facing criminal charges, joining him – and four former governors — at a Cooper University Hospital groundbreaking in January. The charges against Norcross were filed by a Murphy-appointed attorney general.
The $3,500-per-person fundraiser on May 12 will also honor Norcross’ brother, Rep. Donald Norcross (D-Camden), Assembly Majority Leader Louis Greenwald (D-Cherry Hill), and freshman Rep. Herb Conaway, Jr. (D-Moorestown), according to a memo from a top Norcross political advisor, Mickey Quinn, and obtained by the New Jersey Globe.
The entire South Jersey Democratic legislative delegation is on the invitation.
