Robert Applebaum, who served on the Hopewell Township Board of Education from 1962 to 1965, died on January 29. He as 98. A World War II veteran, Applebaum later spent eighteen years on the Newtown Township Planning Commission in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Patricia Baker Koechlin, a Montclair councilwoman from 1980 to 1984, died on January 28. She was 95. Gov. Thomas Kean appointed her to serve on the Woodbridge State School board of managers and on the New Jersey Developmental Disabilities Council. He served as a Montclair Planning Board member from 1984 to 1992, as a member of the Montclair Fair Housing Committee, and as a board member of the New Jersey Association of Retarded Citizens.
Craig Rosevear, a former North Brunswick school board member, died on January 24. He was 74. He was a Vietnam War veteran.
Joseph Connors, a former member of the Island Heights Planning Board, died on January 27. He was 78.
Anthony Tannucilli, Sr., a longtime member of the Saddle Brook Republican Club, died on January 30. He was 76. Tannucilli was a U.S. Army veteran.
Frank Farinella, who worked for the Newark maintenance department, died on January 31. He was 95.
