NBC 4 New York I-Team chief investigative reporter Jonathan Dienst has won the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for their continuing coverage of local government in North Bergen.
Dienst and investigative producer David Paredes have been providing detailed reporting of the North Bergen Housing Authority, the Board of Education, and the office of the mayor.

Dienst has been a major figure in New Jersey political news for more than twenty years. His coverage of an ethics probe of U.S. Senator Bob Torricelli in 2002 helped force him to drop his bid for re-election.
The award is one of four received by NBC 4 New York from the Radio Television Digital News Association for best large market news in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
