Marshall Spevak, the president of the New Jersey Young Democrats and the chief of staff to Assemblymen Vince Mazzeo and John Armato, will join the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority as the chief of staff.
Spevak is expected to become deputy executive director when Matt Doherty succeeds Christopher Howard as executive director next month.
Doherty, the former mayor of Belmar, joined CRDA in early March as deputy executive director. He was named executive director on March 20, after Howard, a Christie administration appointee, departs.
Spevak, who is well-respected in political circles, is also the Cherry Hill Democratic Municipal Vice Chairman and the vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Battleship New Jersey in Camden.
