Malinowski wins Somerset line

By NJGlobe, March 28 2018 8:57 pm

Tom Malinowski has won the Somerset County Democratic organization line, defeating his only remaining challengers, Goutam Jois and Peter Jacob, by a wide margin.

Somerset had originally backed Linda Weber, who dropped out of the race after losing the endorsement of her home county, Union.

Malinowski, the former Assistant U.S. Secretary of State, now heads into the primary with the support of all six counties  in New Jersey’s 7th district.  He is now the overwhelming front runner to take on Republican Rep. Leonard Lance in the fall.
