Members of the Indian Business Association met with congressional leaders on Tuesday as a kickoff event for the annual India Day Parade on August 12.
The community leaders met with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, and seven members of the New Jersey congressional delegation: Reps. Donald Norcross, Tom MacArthur, Josh Gottheimer, Leonard Lance, Albio Sires, Bill Pascrell, and Bonnie Watson Coleman.
“The IBA is excited to enter a new period of expansion, both in the scope of our capabilities and the outreach to a larger audience,” said Dhiren Amin, the IBA president. “The success of our event today is a great indicator of the potential of our progress.”
About 40,000 people attend the India Day parade each year.
