Ducktown Tavern owner will seek Atlantic City Council seat

Sources say that John Exadaktilos, the owner of the Ducktown Tavern, will announce soon — possibly as early as tomorrow — that he will challenge Atlantic City Councilman Jesse Kurtz in 2019.

Kurtz, a Republican, was elected in 2015 to his Sixth Ward seat.  It’s possible that he will eschew a re-election bid and instead seek a State Assembly seat next year in the 2nd legislative district, when Democratic incumbents Vince Mazzeo (D-Northfield) and John Armato (D-Buena Vista Township) are up for re-election.
