A developing story in Newark: NJ Advance Media is reporting that the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted “law enforcement activity” at the Newark Housing Authority yesterday. What makes this interesting is that NJ.com says the FBI confirmed this, but that Victor Cirilo, the authority’s executive director, told the reporters that nobody from the FBI contacted him, his office, or anyone connected to his agency. This one may be worth watching, since the the Newark municipal elections — where the Mayor and entire city council is up — is just three months away.
