Majority Leader Greenwald’s 5-year Fight for Gun Violence Prevention

(TRENTON) – Following a powerful meeting with the families of the Sandy Hook shooting in his office in 2013, New Jersey Assembly Majority Leader Louis Greenwald (D-Camden/Burlington) made a promise to fight for legislation to prevent gun violence.

Though then-Gov. Chris Christie vetoed previous gun safety efforts, in March the General Assembly passed a series of common sense gun safety bills sponsored by Greenwald that are now expected to be signed into law.
