Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff) and Assembly Judiciary Committee Chairman Raj Mukherji (D-Jersey City) joined host David Wildstein on the New Jersey Globe Power Hour on Talk Radio 77 WABC on Saturday, March 20 at 4 PM.

Wildstein spoke with Gottheimer about his efforts to repeal the elimination of the State And Local Tax Deduction (SALT) and some breakthroughs this week after he questioned U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen on the topic.  They also talked about a surge of White Supremacist hate groups in North Jersey.

Mukherji discussed the Assembly’ upcoming hearing on allegations of beatings and sexual assaults at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility, the state’s only women’s prison.  Embattled state corrections commissioner Marcus Hicks will testify at the hearing.

Gottheimer is serving his third term in the U.S. House of Representatives.  He is a former Clinton White House speechwriter.

Mukherji, a three-term assemblyman, is a U.S. Marine veteran and former deputy mayor of Jersey City.

Wildstein is the editor of the New Jersey Globe.
