Payne is serving his sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing New Jersey’s 10th district. Prior to his election to Conrgess, Payne served as a Newark City Councilman and as an Essex County Freeholder. He was won a special election in 2012 following the passing of his father, 12-term Rep. Donald M. Payne, Sr. Payne is the chairman of House Transportation & Infrastructure Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials. He had previously served as chairman of the Subcommittee on Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery of the House Homeland Security Committee.
Gallagher is a longtime political consultant and Republican leader. He was the editor and founder of More Monmouth Musings and was an influential, self-described conservative blogger.
Fox is a staff reporter at the New Jersey Globe. He’s a graduate of Williams College, where he was managing editor of the Williams Record, and previously worked as a reporting intern at Gotham Gazette. While at the Record, Fox won the Society of Professional Journalists Award for Best Feature Writing (Northeast) and was a finalist for the national award. His hobby – which now bears a striking resemblance to his real job – is making Wikipedia pages for elected officials and state legislative districts.
