The New Jersey Globe can project that Democratic Aberdeen Mayor Fred Tagliarini has been re-elected, defeating Republican William Sullivan by a 54-46% margin.
Tagliarini was first appointed to the mayoralty in 2008, and has been re-elected three times since then, most recently with 63% of the vote in 2017. He previously served on the township council in 1995 – as a Republican.
Sullivan, a corrections officer and the president of PBA Local 105, lost a council bid in 2017 as Tagliarini was winning his third term.
