Russo settles election law violation

Hoboken councilman fined $3k

Hoboken City Councilman Michael Russo has settled a 13-count complaint filed against him by the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission in 2016.

The complaint alleged various violations of state campaign finance laws involving his 2009 campaign for Council.

Russo has agreed to pay a fine of $2,947.52 as part of a consent order that ends his issue with ELEC.
