Romeu loses re-election in Chesterfield

Two newcomers headed to township committee

Chesterfield Mayor Rita Romeu lost re-election by 13 votes Tuesday.

She placed last in a field of candidates.

Suruchi Batra placed first with 188 votes, while Agnes Marsala placed second with 131.

Romeu had 118 ballots cast in her name.
