Middlesex County Republicans have canceled their convention on Saturday in response to coronavirus and will vote online instead, according to county chair Lucille Panos.
“A website is being set up so all delegates can vote online and candidates can have their bios,” Panos said in an email to convention delegates. “Logistics for the online voting are being fine tuned.”
The Middlesex County GOP Screening Committee voted to back Rik Mehta for U.S. Senate by a 32 to 2 vote against Hirsh Singh.
Democrats in Middlesex County have also canceled their convention due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
