Mendham eliminates fees, interest for late tax, sewer payments

Mendham Township eliminated fees and interest for late sewer payments and local taxes in an effort to reduce the financial strain caused by the COVID-19 crisis.

The abatement will last as long as the town remains in a local state of emergency.

Mayor Sarah Neibart declared the state of emergency on March 13, a little more than a week before Gov. Phil Murphy ordered non-essential businesses closed for the foreseeable future.
