Megan J. Moench, a political fundraiser and former congressional staffer, has been elected Republican Municipal Chair in Bridgewater.

Michael Kirsh did not seek re-election after four years to focus on his re-election campaign the township council.

Moench worked for Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-Harding) and on campaigns for Jack Ciattarelli, Dick Zimmer and Kate Whitman.  She currently works as a professional campaign fundraiser with Republican clients across the state.

She is sort of a local version of Valerie Biden Owens, managing campaigns for her brother, Matt, for council and mayor.  Along with Chris Corsini, she ran Matt Moench’s successful off-the-line victory in the 2019 Republican mayoral primary against Republican Dan Hayes.

Bridgewater represents the largest block of Republican county committee members in Somerset County.
