The New Jersey Globe projects that Warren County Sheriff James McDonald and Hunterdon County Sheriff Fred Brown have each won their respective Republican primary elections.

McDonald, a former Washington Township Chief of Police who became sheriff in 2013, faced former undersheriff Todd Pantuso; McDonald won by a 61-36% margin.

Brown, a four-term incumbent, beat Todd Hunt by an even more lopsided 83-17% margin.
