The Hudson Central Labor Council has endorsed Craig Guy for the Democratic nomination for county executive.

“I am thrilled to endorse Craig Guy for County Executive because he has always demonstrated that he will show up for working people and support labor unions in Hudson County,” said the CLC president, Barry Kushnir.  “Craig has been a true partner to organized labor, and I look forward to continuing to work with him to deliver for the working families of Hudson County.”

Guy has served as the chief of staff to the current county executive, Tom DeGise.  DeGise is retiring and is backing Guy as his successor.

The Hudson CLC is also backing three county commissioners: Bill O’Dea, Kenneth Kopacz, and Anthony Romano.

“I am, and will always be, a champion for union labor and the rights of workers to collectively bargain,” said Guy. “Union labor is integral to Hudson County, and to our identity as Americans.  I look forward to working with the Central Labor Council and all of my union brothers and sisters to stand up for the rights of working men and women in our community.”

Guy faces Eleana Little in the June 6 Democratic primary.
