Warren County Commissioner James Kern III, a Republican, has won re-election. He easily bested former Warren County Democratic Chairman Tom Palmieri, who won his party’s nomination as a write-in candidate after no other Democrats stepped forward before the March filing deadline.
Democrats haven’t won a Warren County race since 1999.
