Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop and Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise put stowed their knives and joined together for an election-eve ad boosting Hudson’s county-backed candidates.

“He and I, we don’t always agree on everything, but there is one thing we do agree on,” DeGise says in the 77-second spot.

“We agree on the importance, on July 7th, of voting the entire column B Democratic ticket this primary,” Fulop says immediately afterwards.

The ad is meant to boost U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, Reps. Albio Sires (D-West New York), Donald Payne (D-Newark) and Bill Pascrell (D-Paterson) and Freeholder candidates Kenneth Kopacz, Bill O’Dea, Jerry Walker, Yraida Aponte-Lipski, Anthony Romano, Fanny Cedeno, Caridad Rodriguez, Anthony Vainieri and Al Cifelli.

Fulop found himself out in the cold after an unsuccessful bid by Union City Mayor and State Sen. Brian Stack attempted to wrest control of the Hudson County Democratic Organization from DeGise’s hands.

That bid was unsuccessful and left both sides upset with Fulop, who has since returned to the party fold.
