Democrats scored a narrow victory in the race for Bogota Borough Council where two Republicans lost their bids for re-election.
The council has now flipped from 3-3 to 5-1. The mayor, Chris Keleman, is a Republican.
Democrats Consuelo Carpenter (1,406) and Robert Robbins (1,403) defeated incumbents Daniele Frede (1,305) and Fracisco Miranda (1,268).
