Two incumbents in Allenhurst lost their bids for re-election in Tuesday’s non-partisan municipal elections, while incumbents in Deal and Keansburg coasted to landslide victories.

Theresa Manziano-Santoro, a one-time lifeguard at the Allenhurst Beach Club, emerged as the top vote-getter in the race for the Board of Commissioners with 247 votes, followed by her two running mates, Joseph Dwek (237) and Frieda Adjmi (227), a 24-year Planning Board member.

Mayor David McLaughlin finished fourth with 117 votes, and another incumbent, Richard Cumiskey, received 103.  Mark Horowitz finished sixth with 98.

A third incumbent, Christopher McLoughlin, did not run again.

In the race for three Deal Board of Commissioner seats, Mayor Samuel Cohen (241), Commissioner David Simhon (242), and newcomer Jack Kassin (232) easily defeated challengers Isaac Chehebar (79), Albert Dweck (49), and Samuel Ashkinazie (46) by a 3-1 margin.

Keansburg Mayor George Hoff (809) and Councilmen Thomas Foley (796) and Sean Tonne (710) won nearly 2-1 victories against three challengers: Antonietta Carbone (448), Christina Onciu. (414) and Braden Salas (412).

Jack Hedaya (105), Paul Fernicola (65), and Jason Elo (105) were unopposed for three Loch Arbour Village Commission seats, but there were 220 write-in votes cast.

Ventnor City Commissioners Maria Mento, Tim Kriebel, and Lance Landgraf faced no opposition for re-election.
