Nick Mammano returns to Mercury

Nick Mammano, the former president and CEO of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, is returning to Mercury, a top public affairs firm, as a managing director

A former chief of staff to State Sen. Joseph Lagana (D-Paramus), Mammano left Mercury in 2023 to serve as chief of staff after Paul Juliano replaced former Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto (D-Secaucus) as CEO.  Mammano became CEO twenty months later when Juliano left.

In that post, Mammano oversaw operations at the Meadowlands complex, the hub that is includes MetLife Stadium, the Meadowlands Racetrack, and the American Dream Mall.    He helped prepare the Meadowlands to host eight FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, including the World Cup Final

Mammano was the deputy executive director of the Bergen County Democratic Organization and in 2013, helped Lagana, then a Paramus councilman, win an open seat in the New Jersey State Assembly in the 38th district by 443 votes.
