Mike DeLamater, who served as deputy chief of staff to the governor and helped engineer victories for Gov. Phil Murphy in 2017 and 2021, has launched a new consulting firm, Market Street Strategies.
The firm will offer lobbying, business development and political consulting services.
“Throughout my career in government and politics I’ve learned that success is defined by having a clear vision, creating an effective strategy and executing it well, and that is exactly what I plan to bring to clients of Market Street Strategies,” said DeLamater. “From the local level to statewide initiatives, companies in the public affairs space need experienced, creative advisors who can help them navigate the worlds of government, politics and business, and our firm is uniquely positioned to offer that service to clients in many different industries.”
Last week, DeLamater was elected Morris County Democratic Vice Chair on a slate with the new county chair, Amalia Duarte.
DeLamater served as legislative director to State Sen. Joseph Lagana (D-Paramus) when Lagana was an assemblyman, and as a legislative aide to two Assemblymembers from the 38th district, Connie Wagner (D-Paramus) and Tim Eustace (D-Maywood). He served as a senior advisor to Murphy’s 2017 campaign before joining the governor’s office as director of intergovernmental affairs.
