The nomination of Matt Platkin as attorney general today received praise from two Democratic senators from Middlesex County, Andrew Zwicker (D-South Brunswick) and Patrick Diegnan (D-South Plainfield).
“I am pleased that Governor (Phil) Murphy has nominated Matt Platkin as the next Attorney General of New Jersey,” said Zwicker. “I know firsthand that he has a tremendous legal mind, and his thoughtfulness and compassion will guide him well when making decisions on behalf of our state.”
Platkin will succeed Andrew Bruck as acting attorney general until the Senate confirms him.
“I have no doubt that he will be an outstanding Attorney General,” Zwicker said.
Diegnan said that Platkin’s nomination is “well-deserved.”
“I’ve had the pleasure of having worked with Matt and he’s an asset to the citizens of New Jersey,” Diegnan said.
