Union County officials are preparing another sendoff for late Assemblyman Jerry Green.

Officials in the county are planning to dedicate the Assemblyman Gerald B. Green Plaza, located at the former Park-Madison building in Plainfield, to the deceased assemblyman at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8.

During his 26-year career, Green became one of the most universally-renowned figures in New Jersey politics. He died on April 18, two days after celebrating his 79th birthday.

New Jersey officials from all levels of government are expected to attend the ceremony.
