Two South Jersey lawmakers have named new chiefs of staff this week.
State Sen. Michael Testa, Jr. (R-Vineland) announced on Monday that veteran Assembly Minority Office staffer Robert Geist will be his new chief of staff, while Assembly Health Committee Chairman Herb Conaway, Jr. (D-Delran) promoted Mitchell Zupko to the chief of staff post on Tuesday.
Geist worked for Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-Ventnor) in Washington and in New Jersey and for the State Department of Environmental Protection.
“Rob has a wide range of experience and skills in government and public service here in South Jersey which will help me and my entire team to better serve our counties and communities,” said Testa.
Before joining Conaway’s legislative staff in 2018, Zupko was a researcher for American Bridge 21st Century and on a gubernatorial campaign in Missouri.
“Over the past three and a half years, he has grown into each role that he has taken on,” Conaway said.
