Assemblywomen Rosy Bagolie (D-Livingston) and Alixon Collazos-Gill (D-Montclair) have won the endorsement of the Essex County Democratic screening committee after Roseland Mayor James Spango withdrew.
Spango, an Essex County Sheriff’s Department chief, is the son of Essex County Superintendent of Elections Patty Spango, a former West Orange Council
President and Democratic municipal chair.
He had launched his bid against Bagolie and Collaxis-Gill just before the county convention filing deadline.
