DiMaio, Peterson win

The New Jersey Globe is projecting that Republican incumbents John DiMaio and Erik Peterson have been re-elected to the New Jersey State Assembly in the 23rd district.

They defeated Democrats Denise King and Marisa Trofimov.

DiMaio and Peterson were elected in 2009.

The 23rd district includes parts of Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren counties and is one of the most Republican in the state.
