Allen won’t run for office again

Former State Sen. Diane Allen won’t run for office again, but she’s not done with politics,

“I’m out, I’m done. I’m not ever going to run for office again,” Allen said on Thursday. “I’m very happy to play a role in other people’s campaigns if I can.”

And, her help appears to be in high demand. Allen’s statement came moments after she got off a call with Rep. Tom MacArthur, who is currently facing a competitive challenge to his House seat.

Also awaiting her attention was a message left by Rep. Leonard Lance, who also faces a serious Democratic challenger.
