All twelve Republican mayors in the 21st legislative district have endorsed State Sen. Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) and Assemblywomen Nancy Muñoz (R-Summit) and Michele Matsikoudis (R-New Providence) for re-election next year.
Backing Bramnick, Muñoz and Matsikoudis are Mayors Jim Baldassare, Jr. (Bernards), Mary Jane Canose (Bernardsville), Jason Cilento (Dunellen), Matthew Dorsi (Long Hill), Ashley Felice (Chatham Township), David Karner (Far Hills), John Madden (Middlesex Borough), Paul Mirabelli (Mountainside), Al Morgan (New Providence), Greg Skinner (Peapack & Gladstone), Victor Sordillo (Warren), and Jim Van Arsdale (Green Brook).
This is the third round of endorsements for the three incumbents, who have already received the backing of GOP county chairs in Middlesex, Morris, Somerset and Union, and all nineteen Republican municipal chairs.
“We are grateful to the Republican mayors in District 21 for their support and look forward to working with them to continue the fight to make New Jersey more affordable, combat the recent rise in crime and put an end to court mandated overdevelopment,” Bramnick, Muñoz and Matsikoudis said in a statement.
The 21st district had been viewed as potentially competitive in the last three legislative cycles, but Democrats have been unable to pick up seats. Redistricting has made the 21st slightly more Republican.
