State Sen. Brian P. Stack (D-Union City) praised Gov. Phil Murphy’s nomination of Fabiana Pierre-Louis to serve as an Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.
“Murphy’s choice is excellent. I love the diversity. We need more and more diversity,” Stack told the New Jersey Globe.
Stack called Pierre-Louis a “complete package” and said she was “extremely qualified” to serve on the State’s top court.
If confirmed by the Senate, Pierre-Louis will become the first black woman on the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Stack is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee that will consider Pierre-Louis’ nomination before it heads to the full Senate.
