Ramon Rivera, an attorney with significant political connections throughout the state, will join Antonelli Kantor as an equity partner later this year, a move that expands the firm’s already booming municipal law practice.
The firm will be known as Antonelli, Kantor & Rivera, where he will join Daniel Antonelli and Jarrid Kantor in the burgeoning Livingston-based law firm.
Rivera serves as the Irvington municipal attorney, where he is a close ally of Mayor Tony Vauss. He also serves as labor counsel to a number of municipalities and school boards. He served on Gov. Phil Murphy’s transition team and is a member of the Essex County Democratic Hall of Fame.
Antonelli and Kantor already have a strong roster of local government clients, including Livingston, Union, Linden, Trenton and Perth Amboy.
Prior to his move, Rivera had been a partner at Scarinci & Hollenbeck, one of North Jersey’s most politically influential law firms.
