Rabner shuts down in-person court proceedings

All in-person proceedings for the New Jersey Superior Court on Monday and Tuesday have been postponed as part of precautionary measures taken in

“On a typical court day, hundreds if not thousands of attorneys, litigants, and inmates appear in courts throughout the state,” said Chief Justice Stuart Rabner.  “We are limiting physical interactions in our courts and shifting to video and phone conferencing options for attorneys, litigants and the public.”

The Judiciary is preparing to shift to virtual system where attorneys and litigants can participate through teleconference or other technologies.

Ongoing jury trials were proceed as announced.
