A virtual celebration of the life of Ruth B. Mandel is set for May 20 at 3 PM.

Mandel, a New Jersey political legend, died on April 11 at age 81.

She headed the renowned Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University from 1995 until her retirement last year.  She founded Eagleton’s Center for American Women and Politics in 1971 and headed it until 1994.

The Mandel family has asked the donations in her honor be directed to the Ruth B. Mandel Fund at the Eagleton Institute of Politics and the Center for American Women and Politics, the United States Holocaust Museum, or Penn Med Hospice.
