Rice Tribute: Anthony Cureton

Bergen County Sherif Anthony Curetonr eleased the following statement on the death of former State Sen. Ronald Rice:

“In the words of the great civil rights icon Congressman John Lewis, ‘Get in good trouble, necessary trouble,’ Senator Ronald Rice, a man who prided himself on advocating for social justice, racial equality, and standing on his principle. He believed in ‘necessary trouble’ and advocacy for the underprivileged people he served. He will be truly missed, and the legacy of Senator Ronald Rice will rein forever in Newark and New Jersey politics.   We pray and thank the Rice family for sharing a great man. Gone, but never forgotten.”
